Workshops are a great opportunity to dive into the clay experience in just either one or two sessions. Remember clay takes patience! Pieces need to be fired at least TWICE before you can take home your treasures. Great for all levels depending on the focus of that particular workshop. Whether you're flying solo, planning a fun outing with friends, or seeking the perfect date night, our one to two-time sculpting classes have something for everyone! Each workshop will have live demonstrations with step-by-step guidance to walk you through the process of creating a piece.
A workshop series we are excited to launch is Local Artists workshops. That is right! We have some incredibly talented AND famous artists living locally here and within the Sacramento area. Our intention is to bring them into Earthbound so they can share their incredible skills with us. These are individuals who are experts in their clay craft, and you won’t want to miss out on opportunities to learn from them!
** EVENTS: If you have a particular project, you and your friends want to create and have a group of at least 8, call us and we can get something scheduled for your own group creative event!!
Animal Spirit Masks
Age: 18+
** Handbuilding Experience is required
Session Length: 11 hours over 3 weeks
Cost: $325
Join us with sculptor Naomi Cooper as she guides us through
the process of creating as face with a spirit animal component.
Students with create a mask about 12-14 inches tall that will be meant to be mounted onto the wall.

COW BELL WINDCHIMES
Age: 13+
Session Length: Weekly 2.5-hour class session over three weeks. The last class is for assembling your hanging bell with string and beads.
Cost: $90
Take elements of the earth and create a piece that allows the wind to sing! Using the slab roller, you will create one unique bell and to adorn your garden or porch. These magical musical pieces will hopefully be the first of many. You will also create beads and a dangle to adorn the hanging string. Once you get the hang of it, you will want to create more!

Studio Ghibli Tiles
Age: 13+
Session Length: Weekly 2-hour class session over two weeks.
Cost: $90
Laura is a member of our studio who creates stunning tiles! She is going to walk us through her tile making process so that you not only make beautiful tiles inspired by the incredible art of Studio Ghibli, but you learn a skill that you can apply to your future tile making endeavors.

Serving Platters
Age: 15+
Session Length: Weekly 3 hour class session over three weeks.
Cost: $90
Join Sandra as she guides you through the process of handbuilding a large serving platter with handles and fun surface decorations. First 2 sessions are building and attaching handles and surface decorations with molds. Sandra will address how to reduce chances of cracking with such a large surface area creation. Return 3 weeks later to glaze.

Teapots
Age: 13+
** MUST HAVE INTERMEDIATE WHEEL THROWING EXPERIENCE
Session Length: 7.5 hours and a gallery tea party
Cost: $90
Join Electra in this fun vessel making workshop where you will learn how to make lids and spouts for your very own teapot making adventure! Don’t miss out on the 4th gathering where you can check out other people’s finished teapots and drink some tea and eats some treats made by your instructor!

Earthbound is hosting this workshop again!! Sandy is an incredible local ceramic artist who will guide you through the techniques of slab building and pinch pots to build a figure that is standing. This will be a full figure sculpture from head to toe! Think about stance, hand gestures and facial expressions to convey emotions! Don’t miss out on this incredible clay adventure of learning, growth and laughter! Limited Spaces!
